Job Description
Our client is a global manufacturing company with over 100 years of leadership in their industry and over a billion in revenues. Their growing team needs an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and execute their global sourcing and purchasing strategies.
The role offers generous compensation, including a performance bonus, an excellent benefits package, and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
Some of your primary duties would include:
- Lead and execute global strategies related to effective procurement that meet the requirements of our client’s operations
- Lead and manage procurement activities locally while applying global sourcing standards
- Manage a team of procurement and warehouse/storage professionals
- Work with the inventory team to establish objectives and processes that optimize inventory levels and reduce the facility’s need to tap into working capital
- Recommend new suppliers based on quality, service, and most competitive pricing
- Monitor supplier performance, and address issues accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or other related function
- 7 years of experience working in procurement purchasing, precisely executing functions such as bidding, negotiation, administering contracts and agreements, and developing or updating procurement/purchasing policies/procedures
- SAP, MS Office Suite including Access and Excel
- Three years of experience procuring for a manufacturing company
