About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist our wireline team in installing fiber optic cables for various telecommunication projects nationwide. As a full turnkey provider of technology infrastructure solutions, we have built long-term relationships with commercial clients, service providers, and government organizations.
Responsibilities
- Perform various tasks such as hand digging, setting up traffic control, operating equipment, and loading materials on safety-sensitive utility construction sites.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utility print and map reading to ensure accurate project execution.
- Utilize experience in operating equipment to contribute to project success while adhering to safety regulations.
- Support the setup and shut down of utility construction projects in diverse conditions.
- Follow required safety practices while carrying out duties.
- Immerse yourself in a learning environment to gain expertise in fiber installation, print reading, equipment operations, and more.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles at construction yards and jobsites.
- Embody leadership responsibilities as the right hand to the Foreman, leading by example and ensuring adherence to safety rules.
- Engage in on-the-job training to become an experienced operator and progress into a Foreman role.
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- A minimum of 1 year of utility construction experience.
- At least 6 months of heavy equipment operations experience, including Hydro, Drill, Mini, and Plow.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A CDL License (or the ability to obtain one).
