About the Role:
- Provide mid-level aerial installation functions, including hand digging, setting up traffic control, and operating equipment.
- Proficient in utility print and map reading.
- At least 2 years of experience in independent aerial cable placement and installation, adhering to safety regulations.
- Climb utility poles or utilize lifts to place cable according to print designs and maps.
- Support setup and shutdown of utility construction projects, including traffic control.
- Safety is paramount; always follow required safety practices.
- Train alongside experienced crews to learn fiber installation, print reading, equipment operation, and OSHA requirements.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from vehicles at construction yards and job sites.
- Act as a right-hand to the Foreman, leading by example and ensuring safety rules are followed.
- Perform OTJ training to grow technical and leadership skills.
- Assist in identifying hazards using the pre-task process.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in various physical positions (sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.).
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds/noise levels while on site.
- Regular exposure to all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc.).
- Will be required to wear common protective safety equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel-toed boots).
Experience and Education:
- 2 year of lineman experience within the telecommunications industry required.
- Formalized training/Lineman certification required from accredited tech school required.
- 6 months OTJ training and 1 year of Lineman experience required if no formal education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- CDL License (or the ability to obtain) required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
