We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This position requires strong time management skills and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
The primary role of the Dietary Aide is to wash dishes, glassware, flatware, food preparation equipment and utensils. This position is also responsible for mopping floors and cleaning surfaces as required. The Dietary Aid is also responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to ensure loss, waste, and fraud is minimized. Operation of commercial dish-washing equipment is necessary to perform required duties. Also responsible for preparing food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards following established food production programs and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a similar role within food service or culinary settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with a friendly demeanor towards patients and staff alike.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Experience in assisted living facilities, hospital or cafeteria is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and walking throughout the facility.
