What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Detailer – Buffer position at Adcock Bros.?
Duties:
Automotive Detailer – Buffer is tasked with ensuring all newly refinished surfaces meet both Adcock as well as customer standards.
- Inspects all refinished surfaces for imperfections
- Color-sand cured surface areas as needed
- Apply proper cut and buff techniques to achieve a high-quality finish
- Uses machine orbital buffers taking proper precautions to mitigate burn-through
- Sand & Buff, Fresh Paint Buffing
- Using knowledge of various products, applied compounds, swirl removers, polishes
- Re-inspects surface areas to ensure all quality standards met
- Typical work day is 7AM-4PM M-Thursday and Fridays 7am-12pm
- Starting pay is 15.00 and can go up depending on experience
Requirements:
– Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or similar role
– Extensive knowledge of auto body repair techniques and procedures
– Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for repairs
– Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job
– Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
Note: Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not required.
