The Role
Addepar is seeking a Transactions Attorney to join its Legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology transactions, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $146,000 - $227,000 (base salary) bonus equity benefits.

What You Will Do
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of contracts, including subscription/license (inbound and outbound) agreements, master services agreements, professional services agreements, vendor agreements, and alliance/partnership/reseller agreements;
- Collaborating with Sales, Partnerships, Procurement, and Services teams on technology and related transactions, including negotiating large, strategic client agreements;
- Assisting with enterprise client deals; and
- Advising on matters related to client and vendor contracts (e.g., Addepar’s rights and obligations).
Who You Are
- Three to five years advising on, negotiating and drafting complex technology and other agreements, including subscription/license (inbound and outbound) agreements, master services agreements, professional services agreements, vendor agreements, and alliance/partnership/reseller agreements;
- Highly collaborative and capable of working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Information Security, Services, Compliance, Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams in a fast-paced work environment;
- A risk-based mindset with the ability to succinctly identify critical areas of concern and construct legally-compliant, commercially-viable solutions;
- A demonstrated track record of building and maintaining credibility with internal stakeholders; and
- Bar admission (NY or CA preferred)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience in international transactions; and
- Familiarity with global privacy and data regulatory laws and frameworks, including GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.
