THIS IS A PRN (AS NEEDED) POSITION AT OUR LUCEDALE MS CAMPUS
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Courier
Department: Administration
Reports To: Designated Supervisor
Supervises: NA
Entry Level Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English. Communicate with people and follow instructions.
1. Must have a valid State driver's license and a safe driving record.
2. Must be able to see at 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable).
3. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
4. Must be able to drive for approximately 6 hours of 8 hour shift.
5. If recovering, must have two (2) years of verifiable sobriety.
General Responsibilities:
Know and abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, "Confidentiality of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Patient Records", and 45 CFR "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act." This position has unrestricted access to patient identifying information.
To transport supplies and patients to and from Bradford.
Essential Functions:
1. Transport courier bags and other supplies to other locations within the company.
2. Deliver medications from pharmacy department to inpatient locations.
3. Responsible for routine maintenance of courier vehicle (maintain detailed service records).
4. Responsible for cleanliness of courier vehicle.
5. Transport patients to and from facility as needed.
6. Regular attendance.
7. Other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
