Lab Technician - Part Time

About the Role:

As a Lab Technician at Lakeview Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting the healthcare team by conducting laboratory tests that are essential for diagnosing and treating patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, which directly impact patient care decisions. You will be involved in preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Document and report test results in a timely manner, adhering to quality control protocols.
• Assist in the collection and preparation of samples for analysis.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss test results and provide insights for patient care.
