The Lead Recovery Coach at Woodland Recovery Center will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders while leading a team of Behavioral Health Technicians to deliver the highest level of care. This position plays a critical role in helping clients maintain long-term sobriety, develop life skills, and achieve personal goals within a structured, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to recovery and a deep understanding of the recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
- Oversee and mentor a team of recovery coaches to ensure high-quality, client-centered services.
- Perform intake assessments as they arrive.
- Perform urine drug screening.
- Assist with AMA blocking and client support.
- Maintain bed board for accurate data and census information.
- Develop and implement training programs for new and existing recovery coaches.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Client Support and Advocacy:
- Accept new clients upon arrival for proper admission intake process.
- Offer support and guidance to clients on maintaining sobriety and managing life’s challenges.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating healthy coping mechanisms and a commitment to recovery.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Collaborate with clinical staff to integrate recovery coaching into the broader treatment plan.
- Creäte and refine best practices, when necessary.
- Track and report client progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and organizational regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field highly preferred.
- Certification as a Recovery Coach (or willingness to obtain certification within six months).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in substance use recovery, including personal recovery experience or working in a recovery-related field.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of substance use disorders and the recovery process.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
