Red Oak Recovery (Asheville, NC) is a clinician-run treatment program with three campuses established to serve the needs of our clients. Our Red Oak campus offers a unique blend of clinical rehabilitation, 12 step addiction recovery, proven addiction therapy services, family counseling, and experiential and adventure therapy. The Willows at Red Oak offers a sanctuary for young women to focus on healing and help prepare them for fulfilling, post-treatment lives. Foothills at Red Oak, our adolescent treatment program for boys, treats trauma, mental health issues, substance abuse, grief and loss, and process addictions.
Position Responsibilities
- Facilitate and oversee communication with client families regarding their financial matters including invoices, payments, and payment agreements.
- Facilitate and oversee Accounts Receivable and collections, including preparing invoices and reports
- Facilitate and oversee Accounts Payable
- Manage systems for financial controls to ensure all collections are done accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee insurance reimbursement to families and assist families with insurance-related questions.
- Collaborate with 3rd party insurance billing agency to ensure optimum level of returns.
- Provide financial reports to clinical directors detailing particular areas of improvement regarding clinical documentation and diagnosis.
- Provide financial reports to Executive Directors
- Provide weekly current client financial summary report
- Oversee petty cash management for campuses
- Produce additional financial reports as indicated by management needs.
- Collaborate with corporate office to ensure budgetary information is communicated.
- Manage process improvement initiatives in accounting process.
- Collaborate with Executive Team to ensure financial goals are recognized and met.
- Process payroll by ensuring all pay changes, deductions, paid time off etc. and prepares necessary reports
- Evaluates and improves office systems to ensure the maximum support of other campuses
- Provide direct supervision to all staff in financial department.
- Recruit, hire and train financial department staff as indicated by programmatic needs.
- Other related tasks and duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance
- Familiarized with all Microsoft Office programs
- Customer Service experience
- Clear understanding of medical and insurance billing
- Should be detail-oriented and adaptable to effectively complete several tasks under a deadline
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience in AR/AP and budgeting
Preferred Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Master's Degree
- Office experience a plus
