About Us:
Addiction Medical Facility, LLC is a comprehensive Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility dedicated to supporting individuals in their recovery journey. Our services include methadone maintenance, Subutex, Suboxone, Vivitrol, outpatient programs, intensive outpatient services, Hepatitis C treatment, and behavioral health care.

We are currently hiring an IOP Counselor to join our passionate team.

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Director, the Counselor plays a pivotal role in supporting patients on their path to recovery. Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) based therapy groups
  • Conducting admissions, assessments, and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Providing individual and group counseling based on treatment plans.
  • Developing and updating treatment and aftercare plans in collaboration with patients.
  • Documenting all patient interactions and maintaining accurate, compliant records.
  • Coordinating with outside agencies such as courts, probation, and other referral sources.
  • Ensuring Federal, State, and accreditation standards are met.
  • Supporting patients in achieving their treatment goals and coordinating with local organizations to expedite care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all assessments, including psychosocial assessment and interpretive summary, treatment plans, case consultations, and reviews per AMF policy timelines.
  • Provide group addiction counseling according to the Comprehensive Treatment Plan.
  • Maintain thorough documentation using the DAP format and ensure timely filing of all records. Document each individual, group, case management or other patient contacts in progress notes written in DAP formula to include the following: date of contact, type of contact, length of contact and to be signed and dated by note writer in accordance with company policy manual standards.
  • Ensure case documentation is filed into patients’ charts in a timely manner that meets company policy manual standards.
  • Provide follow-up support for discharged patients as outlined in the Follow-Up Policy.
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive environment conducive to recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a related field is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in addiction treatment preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Flexible to work early hours, evenings & occasionally Saturdays
  • Strong de-escalation skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations.
  • Background in mental health support and skilled in working with diverse populations.
  • Must be self-motivated, solution-oriented, supportive, and able to work independently, with a team-focused mindset, as well.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
