Job Description:
Addiction Outreach Clinic is growing and has seven locations in OH and PA, with hiring needs at multiple locations. We provide a unique, outpatient opioid addiction treatment program that combines Sunbonnet® and monthly group counseling. Our practice includes a team of physicians and counselors that provide personalized treatment to help guide our patients on their path to recovery.
The Assistant will be responsible for acting as a liaison between doctors and outpatients. He/she will observe the patients’ drug testing and chart all results, making note of any significant concerns. This position is also responsible for all technical, security and toxicology screening functions. Candidates will aide patients in adhering to prescribed regimen.
The selected candidate, under the supervision of the AOC Office Supervisor, is responsible for performing clerical and administrative office functions, including: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments and working with insurance providers. Candidates must be able to work under pressure and be able to work with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, patients, and other members of the general public.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have caring disposition and enthusiasm for working with the addicted
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge:
- General office protocol, systems and procedures.
- Computerized office scheduling programs, particularly Micro MD.
- Physician business office procedures.
Capabilities:
- Read, write and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Prepare required documents as instructed.
- Prepare records as instructed.
- Exercise initiative and judgment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, co-workers and the public.
- De-escalate critical situations to maintain control
Salary: $17.00 to $19.99 /hour
