We are hiring a Director of Training and Professional Development for our growing team! The Director of Training and Professional Development is responsible for all aspects of providing continuing educational opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Continuing Education Unit (CEU), particularly in addiction and recovery fields, ensuring programs align with industry standards.
  • Manage the scheduling and coordination of CEU training sessions throughout the year.
  • Secure qualified instructors to lead CEU training, ensuring high-quality education delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and growth of CEU programs.
  • Recruit participants for existing and new CEUs and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice-President of Academic Administration.

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Relevant work experience in professional development, education, or a related field is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written.
  • Expertise in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with community resources supporting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, as well as economic and employment services.
  • Knowledge of the impact of substance abuse on individuals and families, including available support services.
  • Understanding of relevant Federal, State, and municipal laws governing educational institutions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crises with professionalism and composure.
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds and education levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, exercising sound judgment and discretion.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software.
