Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Admissions/Intake Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the admissions process for our inpatient behavioral health facility. You will work closely with patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth transition into our care. Your role will involve assessing patient needs, coordinating intake procedures, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings and assessments of potential patients to determine admission eligibility.
- Coordinate and schedule admissions, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and promptly.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for admissions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and external stakeholders to facilitate the admission process.
- Maintain thorough and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in developing and implementing intake procedures and protocols to streamline admissions processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in admissions coordination or a similar role within a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health.
