PROVIDER JOB DETAILS
AWC MA is looking for a detail oriented and empathetic dual certified Family or Adult Health NP to evaluate patients and prescribe medications as part of a treatment team with licensed counselors for patients who suffer from substance abuse disorder and mental health disorders. The prescribing nurse is also responsible for reporting patient treatment information. AWC MA works inside multiple substance abuse treatment facilities in various levels of care. This position would be providing medication management via telehealth to patients in a PHP/IOP setting while in treatment for substance use.
An ideal prescribing nurse candidate works cooperatively with supervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a non-judgmental and accepting attitude towards the patient.
