Addison Central School DistrictSubstitutes2024-2025Addison Central School District is seeking motivated, creative individuals to substitute in our classrooms, grades K-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. Our district includes 7 elementary schools, (Bridport, Cornwall, Middlebury, Ripton, Salisbury, Shoreham, and Weybridge), a High School and Middle School both located in Middlebury. You will be responsible to follow lesson plans, manage classrooms effectively, and instruct the students in the continued learning environment of a classroom setting.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, in addition to the following: Education/Experience/Licenses. An individual must meet at least one of the following: -A.Hold or be eligible to hold a valid teaching license in the state of Vermont or any other state.-B.Hold or be eligible to hold a valid RN or LPN license, or other professional/technical license/certification issued by the state of Vermont that is applicable to the programs or services provided in the school.-C.Hold or be eligible to hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited college-Relevant experience and/or training that demonstrate fitness for substitute teaching through alternative methods to A, B, and C (above) as approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee.All substitutes will be on an as needed on-call basis.
