Job Description:
As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable, invoicing, and accounts receivable functions. You will work closely with both the local market team and corporate accounting to ensure financial operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main contact for the regional business manager and corporate accounting team, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Supervise accounting support staff and guide them in day-to-day financial activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, particularly for accounts payable, and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable records, ensuring all documentation is organized and accurate.
- Verify client creditworthiness or secure prepayment before service delivery, adhering to company policy on credit and collections.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with the company’s records retention policy.
- Support market account executives in collections by generating reports and tracking payments.
- Act as the liaison between corporate accounting and the market team to handle sales commission statements and ensure timely corrections and payments.
- Collect and verify payroll data on a biweekly basis and input information into the payroll system.
- Conduct month-end reviews of invoices and general ledger reports, ensuring proper accruals are communicated to corporate accounting.
- Handle inquiries from coworkers, clients, and vendors in a professional manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the local market or corporate accounting team.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, or a related degree in accounting or business (preferred).
- Proficiency in using ERP systems; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various teams.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- This position requires working in the office four days a week, with one optional remote day.
