Pay Rate : $55000 - $65000 annually depending on applicable experience.

Addison Group is excited to support the search for an Accounting Assistant to join the growing team of one of our clients. This client is seeking a candidate with strong experience in transactional processing skills (AP & AR), GL accounting, month-end close, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a strong knowledge of GAAP, and the ability to perform account analysis to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.
This is an onsite role requiring presence in Minnesota for applications to be considered.
Responsibilities :
- Process full cycle AP invoices - ensuring proper 3-way matching and coding to the correct GL.
- Process and monitor AR functions including billing, monitoring the aging report, cash applications, collections and more.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure proper account coding.
- Assist with and perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting department.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies during all accounting processes.
