Position: Contract Administrator

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for sourcing, subcontract administration, and procurement activities. This role supports supplier development and the acquisition of products and services while minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence, flexibility, and professionalism, working closely with suppliers, consultants, management, and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Support procurement and subcontract management, including federal government contracting.
- Oversee procurement activities focusing on performance, change control, quality, cost, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement requirements.
- Review statements of work and specifications to ensure proper acquisition of goods and services.
- Select appropriate contract terms and negotiate supplier exceptions in coordination with legal teams.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
- Prepare and manage pre-award activities such as RFPs, RFQs, and EOIs, including site visits.
- Perform price analyses and ensure necessary funding approvals before contract execution.
- Submit procurement packages for review and approval before award.
- Issue Purchase Orders and other procurement agreements to suppliers.
- Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage post-award activities with a focus on performance, change control, and compliance.
- Verify receipt of items against purchase orders.
- Resolve discrepancies related to invoices and deliveries.
- Complete procurement closeout activities and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Perform additional procurement and contract administration duties as needed.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in supplier and client relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in procurement or contract management.
- Experience in government contracting (DOE or DOD) preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing specialized equipment, IT software, and commercial items.
- Understanding of quality assurance and export control requirements.
- Industry experience in nuclear or related fields is a plus.
- Technical background, either academic or experience-based, is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- High level of integrity, transparency, and teamwork mindset.
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
