Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates for data center projects, including expansion and upgrades.
- Analyze project requirements, drawings, and specification to determine scope, materials, and labor needs.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine cost projections and ensure accuracy.
- Source and evaluate pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers ensure cost- effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate potential cost risks and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Prepare and present cost estimates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Maintain and up-t—date database of costs, trends, and market conditions relevant to data center construction.
- Assist in the development of bid proposals, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the estimation process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost estimation, in data center, mission- critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and civil components in data center construction.
- Skilled in cost tracking, cost analysis, unit pricing, percentage calculations, and post- project performance reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret project specifications and technical documents.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for internal and external interactions
- Ability to work in a fast- paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with industry standards.
