Key Responsibilities
- Digital IC Design: Support the design and development of custom digital cores that are power-efficient and tailored for mixed-signal chips in audio, haptics, and power management applications.
- Low-Power Design: Focus on designing for low-power consumption, particularly for battery-powered consumer and automotive applications.
- Architecture Development: Collaborate with architects and system designers to create innovative digital architectures that integrate seamlessly with analog blocks, enhancing mixed-signal performance.
- Digital Design Flow: Support the digital design process, including RTL design, verification, synthesis, place and route, timing closure, and power optimization.
- Collaboration with Analog Teams: Work closely with analog designers to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components, delivering industry-leading mixed-signal ICs.
- Power Optimization: Apply power optimization techniques, such as clock gating, power gating, and dynamic voltage scaling, to meet stringent power requirements.
- Verification & Validation: Develop verification environments and contribute to validation plans for robust digital designs that meet performance and power specifications.
- Technology Adoption: Stay informed about the latest advancements in low-power design, digital architecture, and IC development methodologies, including ARM, DSP, and RISC-V architectures.
- Proficiency in digital IC design, with experience supporting the design and optimization of power-efficient custom digital cores.
- Expertise in RTL design, synthesis, and verification for mixed-signal ICs.
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques for embedded systems, including clock gating, power gating, and voltage scaling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard digital design and verification tools (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, UVM, Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor).
- Understanding of ARM, DSP, or RISC-V architectures and their applications in low-power, high-performance systems.
- Experience collaborating with analog/mixed-signal teams to deliver integrated mixed-signal solutions.
- Hands-on experience with the digital implementation process, from design to tape-out, including synthesis, place & route, and timing closure.
- Back-End Verification: Demonstrated ability to support verification of complete digital designs, including SystemVerilog models, FPGA synthesis of RTL code, test bench definition, bug tracking, and resolution.
- Familiarity with DSP and RISC-V architectures and customization of DSP cores for specialized applications.
- Experience with ARM-based embedded systems, particularly in low-power environments.
- Automotive IC experience, including knowledge of safety, reliability, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Background in designing ICs for consumer electronics, with an understanding of challenges related to power, form factor, and performance.
