Join our team as a Field Service Engineer, where you'll test, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair electrical power distribution equipment and systems, including protective relays, circuit breakers, switchgear, power transformers, and generators. Based in Middletown, CT, you'll work primarily at customer sites across the Northeast, especially Southern New England.

- Lead on-site maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning at customer facilities.
- Manage engineering projects of varying sizes.
- Perform protective relay testing independently or as part of a team.
- Coordinate and execute work at customer sites, resolving issues as they arise.
- Implement safe, dependable, and cost-effective electrical systems using engineering skills and standards.
- Provide technical support and quality control for projects.
- Accurately interpret power system wiring diagrams, including DC elementary drawings.
- Adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of electricity and strong problem-solving skills.
- Communicate effectively with customers and peers, both verbally and in writing.
- Exhibit dependability, responsibility, good judgment, and organizational skills.
- Provide excellent customer service, time management, and follow-up.
- Be available for flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and out-of-town work.
- Strong logistical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical power distribution, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash hazards (NFPA70E).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics; AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of NETA acceptance and maintenance testing procedures.
- Experience testing electro-mechanical and digital protective relays and understanding protective relaying applications.
- Associate's degree or relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- NETA Level II or higher is a plus.
- Expected travel: 10% to 20%.
