Addison Group is representing a manufacturer services company in the recruitment of a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Analyst to join their team. This role will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing key insights into revenue trends and forecasts, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, revenue management, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on revenue trends, including revenue forecasting and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP for revenue recognition and assist with implementing best practices in the revenue recognition process.
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition, considering the terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with operations and sales to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly revenue reports, and budgeting.
- Prepare monthly revenue entries and month end close.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support business decisions and strategic initiatives related to pricing, revenue mix, and profitability.
- Work with external auditors during annual audits to ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue.
- Maintain and improve reporting tools, processes, and systems (such as SAP or Oracle) to streamline revenue tracking and analysis.
- Support the preparation and presentation of revenue performance to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or CFA is a plus).
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting and revenue financial analysis experience required.
- Experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition standard a plus.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Exposure to business intelligence tools preferred - (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Our client offers:
$105,000 to $115,000 base salary range dependent on experience.
