Addison Group is partnering with our client, a well-established organization in the manufacturing/packaging industry, to hire an HR Generalist to cover a maternity leave. This is a contract opportunity offering a collaborative work culture and strong work-life balance.
Job Description:
The HR Generalist will provide hands-on support across multiple HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and process improvements. This role works closely with the VP of HR and supports both U.S. and Canadian operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for approximately 15 roles
- Coordinate interviews, prepare offer letters, and oversee onboarding
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and leave administration
- Support salary adjustments, internal transfers, and exit processes
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate data and updates
- Assist in HR project work and maintain department spreadsheets
- Present benefits overviews and aid in transitioning to electronic forms
- Monitor the HR inbox and respond as needed
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of HR Generalist experience
- Experience in similarly sized environments; manufacturing a plus
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (basic Excel formulas)
- HRIS experience preferred; exposure to ADP and Sage/Connect is a bonus
