Job Description:
As a Senior Material Planner, you will work closely with the Parts Purchasing Supervisor and Lead Material Planner to manage the procurement of parts and materials. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and strong problem-solving skills within the supply chain and purchasing space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, review, and update purchase orders as per schedules and company policies.
- Validate pricing, quantities, and shipping details prior to finalizing orders.
- Manage material planning decisions, including order quantities and shipment methods, within established guidelines.
- Monitor deliveries, track order statuses, and address discrepancies with suppliers.
- Expedite backorders and resolve issues with past due or out-of-stock items.
- Maintain accurate purchase order data and material records.
- Assist with supplier information updates and perform research to resolve receiving and pricing discrepancies.
- Support department with clerical tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Between 3-5 years of purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- SAP is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
