Addison Group is hiring for our client, a respected non-profit organization in the Chicagoland area. Our client is dedicated to supporting families and youth through innovative programs and community engagement.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Mentor to support a youth development program on-site in Waukegan, IL. This is a 3-month contract role, ideal for an individual passionate about empowering young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead programming for youth aged 11–17, focusing on engagement, goal-setting, and support.
• Conduct needs assessments and develop action plans in collaboration with families.
• Provide guidance and resources to help youth navigate challenges and meet goals.
• Reconnect with youth who have inconsistent attendance and strengthen family engagement.
• Maintain accurate records and update case notes in a timely manner using internal data systems.
• Assist with program evaluations and contribute to reporting for stakeholders.
• Facilitate data-driven discussions to support continuous program improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Additional Details:

• This role requires a fingerprint background check and CPS clearance.
• Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on family meetings.
• Business casual dress is required to relate comfortably with families and children.
