Addison Group is hiring an Office Operations Manager for our client, a well-established organization in Washington, D.C. This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive leader with experience in office operations, facilities management, and security oversight.
Job Description:
The Office Operations Manager will be responsible for managing daily office operations, including security, emergency preparedness, environmental health & safety (EHS), mailroom services, and business continuity planning. This role ensures that the facility runs efficiently and safely while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to maintain a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Security & Emergency Preparedness:
- Oversee security protocols and manage vendor relationships for building access and surveillance.
- Develop and implement emergency evacuation and business continuity plans.
- Conduct staff training on safety procedures and coordinate emergency drills.
Facilities & Operations Management:
- Manage office maintenance, space planning, and vendor coordination.
- Supervise mailroom and print shop operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support renovation projects and office enhancements.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) & Business Continuity:
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to enhance workplace safety measures.
- Develop business continuity strategies to maintain operations during disruptions.
Sustainability & Compliance:
- Lead sustainability initiatives, working towards certifications like LEED or Energy Star.
- Implement environmentally friendly office practices and monitor compliance.
- Promote recycling programs and green procurement policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 8 years in office operations, facilities management, or security administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and Zoom.
- Experience with facility management and security software
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preferred: Experience with sustainability initiatives and industry certifications.
