What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Accountant position at Addison Group?
Our client is looking for a Payroll Accountant to process technical payroll while also reconcile with the GL. The position will be in office to McLean, but hybrid after training.
Requirements:
- Prior experience processing payroll for 200 employees
- Strong background within GL accounting including reconciliations
- Advanced Excel skills
- ADP Workforce Now exposure
- 4 years of experience
Job Description:
- Review and enter monthly timesheet and bonus information into the Ptelea system.
- Accurately prepare and enter payroll data for semi-monthly payrolls; generate related reports and check requests, and update the payroll check register.
- Compile and maintain the monthly General Ledger (GL) spreadsheet, including employee roster and reports.
- Assist with resetting iPay statements for team members.
- Provide payroll-related customer service to employees.
- Create journal entries and perform account reconciliations for payroll and benefit-related accounts.
- Reconcile quarterly and annual tax filings and reports in compliance with agency requirements.
- Review and process semi-annual performance bonus payments in ADP.
- Contribute to the creation of annual labor cost budgets; maintain and update the salary budget spreadsheet.
- Regularly update and manage the Performance Management Raise spreadsheets.
- Oversee and maintain the ADP database.
- Generate and provide various company reports from ADP, such as annual Total Pay Statements and people data analytics.
- Assist with benefit plan audits, including 401k, Workers' Compensation, etc.
Salary : $75,000 - $88,000
