What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Accountant position at Addison Group?
Our client is looking for a govcon payroll specialist to support their team! This will be a mostly remote position and requires 4 years govcon payroll experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and audit timekeeping entries to ensure they comply with company policies and regulations.
- Import timecard data into the Costpoint Accounting System to generate and reconcile labor files.
- Enter additional earnings not captured in timecards into the Costpoint system as necessary.
- Process leave accruals in the Costpoint Accounting System.
- Facilitate the payroll-related aspects of new hire onboarding and termination offboarding processes.
- Update and modify employee records as requested, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Transfer labor files from Costpoint or Kronos to ADP for payroll processing.
- Download, store, and maintain ADP payroll reports as required.
- Prepare and post payroll-related reports such as 401k contribution spreadsheets, net check summaries, and other payroll reports when needed.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Associate/ Bachelor degree or 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing.
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
- Familiarity with Costpoint 7 Accounting System is a bonus.
- Experience with Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis-Bacon Act regulations is beneficial.
- Strong accounting knowledge and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll-related systems.
- Proven ability to produce error-free work.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities and adapt to changes in a dynamic work environment.
Salary : $36 - $40
