The Project Manager will oversee multiple agile software development, business intelligence, and business analysis teams. A solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) is preferred, along with the ability to gain in-depth knowledge of the systems supported by the team. As a leader, the Project Manager ensures high-quality deliverables, applies industry best practices, and provides well-informed recommendations. They will play a key role in sprint cycles, creating essential documentation and tracking items such as schedules, sprint plans, backlogs, risk assessments, and alternative solutions. The Project Manager also advocates for team growth opportunities.
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- This position is based onsite in Alexandria, VA.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 7 years of experience in project management.
- PMP Certification
- Strong knowledge of Agile development lifecycles, with experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and familiarity with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Jira, etc. Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication, team leadership, and motivation skills.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and a capacity to develop expertise in the systems supported by the team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead teams of developers, architects, business analysts, and testers, identifying opportunities for team and project growth.
- Oversee all aspects of project development and implementation, acting as the main point of contact for assigned projects.
- Lead projects from concept to final implementation, coordinating with stakeholders, end users, and client services.
- Collaborate with government Product Owners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and create comprehensive work plans, schedules, project estimates, and resource allocation plans.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective tracking and analysis of project progress.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and review them for compliance.
- Provide ongoing technical and analytical support to project teams.
Salary : $60 - $75
