Job Description
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage physician accounts receivable (AR), focusing on claims processing, denials, appeals, and insurance follow-ups. The ideal candidate has experience with medical billing systems and a strong understanding of government and commercial insurance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review medical claims for accuracy and compliance.
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Manage denials, appeals, and necessary corrections to ensure timely reimbursements.
- Utilize Epic for billing and collections activities.
- Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve account discrepancies.
- Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to facilitate claim resolution.
- 2 years of experience in insurance follow-ups, denials, and appeals.
- Knowledge of physician billing and CMS 1500 forms.
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims.
- Proficiency in Epic (billing/collections environment preferred).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Schedule: Flexible between 6 AM - 6 PM (Training: 8 AM - 5 PM)
- Training: Approx. 1 month, with 3 hours of daily training before live work.
- Overtime: Not available.
- Start Date: 2 weeks from offer date.
- Interview Process: Single virtual interview with hiring supervisors.
