Addison Group, in partnership with our manufacturing company client in Irvine, seeks a Senior Accountant to join their team.
Compensation/Benefits – Salary range can increase up to $120,000/year depending on qualifications. Our client supplements base compensation with a bonus and health and wellness benefits.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Month-End Close: Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management to support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide financial analysis and special reporting as needed for leadership decision-making.
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting
- Ability to organize time and tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong oral and written communication skills
