Summary: The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for assisting the accounting team by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and offering insights to support decision-making. - Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation and analysis of general ledger accounts
- Support lease accounting, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Track, improve, and assess assets, validation, and reporting to internal stakeholders
- Establish proper accounting and reporting for inventory
- Oversee month-end closing activities and prepare consolidation reporting data
- Assist in bridging gaps between ERP systems and general ledgers to enhance accounting transparency and reporting efficiency
- Aid in the preparation of internal and external financial audits
- Manage, enhance, and document various accounting processes
- Deliver monthly financial close reports and planning cycle reports, including variance analysis
- Perform ad hoc analyses and projects to support leadership initiatives
- Identify and implement improvements, automation, standardization, or simplification of accounting processes
- Collaborate with teams and business partners to standardize reporting and forecasting methods
- Perform ad hoc project analysis as needed
- Assist in developing budgeting, forecasting, and 5-year plans, and support other ad hoc analysis such as budget reviews with senior management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of accounting experience, with increasing responsibility
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Familiarity with GAAP and compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights and recommendations
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) Preferred
- Experience with Workday and Fleetio Preferred
- The salary range for this role is $105-$110K depending upon experience.
