Addison Group has partnered with a Fortune 300 industry leader to find a Senior Manager, External Reporting. This high-profile role will lead the development of SEC quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all financial disclosures. You will manage a high-performing team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective financial controls and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial statements for regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements
- Oversee the coordination and execution of internal financial reporting processes, including performance analysis and historical reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments regarding financial reporting, providing guidance and support
- Act as a key liaison between external auditors, legal teams, and other external stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
- Analyze and interpret emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes, advising on their impact to the organization’s reporting practices
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Internal Audit, to ensure robust internal controls and a strong reporting framework
- Champion the implementation of best practices and continuous improvements to financial reporting processes across the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA certification required
- 10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting theory, principles, SEC and SOX compliance, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to analyze and document complex technical accounting issues
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and risk assessment skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus on complex issues
- Proficient in using technology to improve efficiency and streamline processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
