Title: Senior Robotics Automation Engineer

To provide experienced Automation/Electrical Engineering related technical expertise in order to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, ensure product quality, and contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing operations.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Automation Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering role
- Proven expertise in Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly
- Experienced in Troubleshooting electrical/electronic related issues in manufacturing equipment
- Proven knowledge and practice of safety protocols when exposed to high voltage applications
- Experienced in programming/troubleshooting PLC’s (Mitsubishi & Allen Bradley preferred), robots (Fanuc, Epson & UR preferred), vision systems (Cognex and Keyence preferred) etc.
- Experienced in identifying equipment required for implementing in-house manufacturing capabilities
- Knowledge and proficiency in 3D CAD and drawing detailing, Solidworks preferred.
- Familiarity with TQM and Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred
- The ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Previous experience working around electrical circuits/panels including high voltage ones.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% or time, sometimes over weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
What you will be doing:
- Provide technical leadership to the Automation Engineering Team.
- Mentor and collaborate with a small group of engineers and technicians to successfully execute manufacturing related projects aligned with the company objectives.
- Collaborate with Continuous Improvement team amongst others to optimize existing manufacturing processes for improved safety, quality, delivery and cost goals by utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Provide information as needed for important manufacturing decisions involving calculating production, labor and material costs and estimating future requirements by taking into account, capability, capacity, cost, upstream and downstream processes and effects on total manufacturing system.
- Contribute to the development and review of electrical, wiring and safety standards.
- Research and Recommend the purchase of new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to improve operations.
- Recommend maintenance procedures, spare parts inventory etc. required to maximize production efficiency of production equipment and minimize their downtime.
- Design and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment in accordance with applicable regulations and codes.
- Perform programming, troubleshooting and updating on PLC’s in structured text and ladder logic, for new and existing equipment.
- Perform programming, troubleshooting and updating on robots, vision systems etc, for new and existing equipment.
Salary : $103,800 - $136,200
