Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to establish and communicate HR policies and strategies.
- Manage payroll processes and resolve related issues in collaboration with the central HR team.
- Lead compensation reviews to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.
- Provide HR consulting to managers on performance, terminations, and employee development.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Conduct workforce planning and position reviews to align with organizational needs.
- Develop and deliver specialized training programs to meet departmental goals.
- Collaborate on university-wide HR committees and recommend policy updates.
- Analyze HR data and generate reports to guide decision-making on staffing, compensation, and employee engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience.
- Strong consulting skills in employee relations, compensation, and policy implementation.
- Proficiency with HR systems like SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar platforms.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with experience managing teams.
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The role will report to the HR Director and work closely with the HR team to support the public safety department's HR functions.
