Our client in West Los Angeles is looking for a Senior or Staff Tax Accountant to prepare and review reports, tax returns, tax projections, and tax research for the company's high profile clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare various types of tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and nonprofit organizations.
- Review financial records and reports to support tax planning and projections.
- Conduct tax research and provide recommendations to address client tax matters.
- Manage tax correspondence, including notices, jurisdictional issues, and audits.
- Assist with payroll tax compliance and corporate closeouts.
- Support the preparation of financial reports such as budgets, cash flow analyses, and investment summaries.
- Assist with state, local, and international tax compliance as needed.
- Collaborate with team members on various accounting and tax-related projects.
- 1 years (Staff) or 4 years (Senior) of experience in tax preparation and/or review.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience with CCH Axcess required.
- CPA license or eligibility is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with accounting or tax software is a plus.
- Compensation for this role is dependent upon relevant experience
- Staff - $60K - $85K
- Senior - $80K - $110K
