Works with a small team to research, develop, publish, and maintain Technical Documentation while adhering to prescribed schedules and budgets accordingly. Review, validate, and create engineering / technical documentation.
The Technical Documentation Specialist needs to be able to write clearly and concisely. This role requires individuals who pay attention to detail, especially when it comes to writing.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Possess technical training/education and general working level knowledge of industrial equipment systems (mechanical, electrical, electronics, electromechanical, software, and machine communications).
- Technical/engineering documentation or publication experience. Technical writing is preferred
- Ability to write clearly and concisely and attention to detail
- Understanding of Engineering Lifecycle Management
- Familiarity with XML authoring tools or MS Office productivity software suites
- Experience dealing with manuals, blueprints or schematics
- Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) would be nice to have
- Any familiarity or exposure with industrial controls or robotics is preferred. This can be in a practical or classroom environment
- Strong writing skills
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering or a related field.
