What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR position at Addison Heights Health and Rehabilitation?
Addison Heights is looking to hire a full time Maintenance Supervisor to join our team!
Job Knowledge and Role Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in maintaining the physical plant and equipment of the facility.
2. Attends all mandatory inservices by employee’s anniversary date.
3. Acts appropriately under the direction of the Administrator and/or Assistant Administrator and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
4. Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs.
5. Communicates and observes the Corporate Compliance Program effectively and complies with Code of Conduct when performing work functions.
Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Supervises the day-to-day repair, improvement and preventive maintenance of the building, equipment, lawn and grounds; arranges for and manages outside repairs, maintenance and construction services according to facility procedures.
2 . Maintains records, manages budgets and supplies, and fulfills department manager responsibilities.
3. Orients new staff, and conducts inservices about the physical plant, safety and disaster planning.
4. Develops long range, short range and daily plans for the maintenance of the facility.
5.Supervises maintenance personnel and schedules adequate coverage, as appropriate. Assigns duties and evaluates work performance, as necessary.
6. Prepares requisitions for all necessary supplies and equipment and submits these to the Administrator with an emphasis on inventory control.
