Type 10 Supervisory Certificate preferred
Type 75 General Administrative Certificate required
Communication skills including the ability to confer with students and parents,Plus Dean Stipend
The Director of Deans is responsible for:
- Supervising and implementing district policies pertaining to student attendance and discipline, and making recommendations concerning student attendance.
- Administering appropriate discipline to students to insure compliance with district policy and local, state and federal laws.
- Implementing and administering procedures to insure student compliance with district policies and state laws.
- Supervising and monitoring student activities outside the classroom in the evenings and on weekends.
- Coordination of staff involvement in the student supervision process.
- Participation in the Pupil Personnel Committee and teaming groups.
- Supervision and evaluation of all staff within the Director of Deans’ areas of responsibility.
- Coordinate the safety and security protocols of the District including the supervision of the student supervisor staff and the creation and management of the Incident Action Plans.
The DIRECTOR OF DEANS shall perform all duties incident to the position of Director of Deans, under the direction of the Board and the Superintendent and shall, in general, perform the duties set forth in the Board’s policies and the DIRECTOR OF DEANS’ job description, as may be modified from time to time by the Board. The Board reserves the right to reassign the DIRECTOR OF DEANS during the term of this Contract to another administrative position or title for which the DIRECTOR OF DEANS is qualified, without a loss of salary or benefits, and without notice or a hearing and/or term of contract.
