Corporate Financial Controller

Position: ​Financial Controller

Location: ​Princeton, NJ (Hybrid)

Salary: ​$230K - $270K Bonus Options

Growing public medical device company looking for a Financial Controller to lead their team.

The Controller will oversee financial reporting, SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), internal controls, and financial systems for both domestic and international operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and global financial consolidation, as well as experience optimizing financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.

• SEC Filings: Manage all SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

• System & Process Optimization: Lead efforts to streamline accounting processes, implement automation, and optimize ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

• International Operations: Manage multi-currency consolidation, foreign exchange accounting, and international financial reporting compliance.

• Internal Controls & SOX: Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX regulations, and oversee audit coordination.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (required).

• 10 years of accounting experience, including 5 years in SEC-reporting (medical device or healthcare required).

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and international accounting standards (IFRS).

• Experience optimizing ERP systems and financial automation.

• Proven ability to manage international financial reporting and multi-currency consolidation.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics GP) ERP system preferred.
