Position: Senior Accountant
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $90k - $110k Bonus
Growing Family Consumer Goods Distribution Organization Seeks a Senior Accountant to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end preparation of comparative financial statements.
- Assist with the management of the annual budget and forecast.
- Prepare weekly financial dashboards and sales comparative reports
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Ensure that accounting transactions are in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee, maintain and analyze fixed assets and the general ledger accounts
- Supervise AP process for accurate coding to the general ledger
- Responsible for accurate and timely filing of monthly sales tax
- Oversee Cost Accounting and Cost of Goods and Cost Control
- Review and process weekly payroll
- Review quarterly payroll and payroll tax analysis
Skills & Expectations:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. CPA or MBA is preferred
- 5 years of direct Accounting and Finance experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
- Hands-on experience processing payroll
- Experience with ERP Systems, NetSuite preferred
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
