Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized part-time accountant to join our
growing manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting
operations, including accounts receivable and payable, vendor management, bank
reconciliations, credit card classifications, and general ledger management. This role will
also be responsible for month-end financial preparations, bi-weekly payroll processing, and
supporting special projects and reporting. We use Quickbooks Online (QBO) and
spreadsheets to manage all accounting and financial tasks and responsibilities.
As a growing company, the position is expected to start at approximately 30 hours per
month, with the possibility of increasing hours as the company expands. The position will
be hybrid with a majority of the time remote, with some scheduled days in the office each
month. Training will be provided by our company controller.
Location: Hybrid (Akron, OH). Majority remote with a day per week in office.

- Month-End Financial Preparation: Oversee all aspects of the month-end close,
- Accounts Receivable: Manage billing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate
across states.
- Accounts Payable: Oversee vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate payment
- Vendor Management: Collect and maintain vendor information, including W2’s and

Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or similar
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP (Generally
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or
- Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with Google Docs and Gmail is preferred for word processing,
