Job Description
The Machine Shop Maintenance role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas
- Establish a proactive and reactive maintenance program
- Actively participate in our safety program
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filling machine oils, emptying chip hoppers, sweeping/run floor scrubber
- Clean coolant tanks, burr benches, and other equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machines as needed
- Assist with building maintenance, lighting, electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks
- Maintain the outside, parking lot, and dock area
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Specialist who possesses excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance/technical role and be proficient in equipment installs and modifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with CNC machines
- Experience working in CAD
- Experience with additive OEM and FSE
Work Environment
The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
Physical Demands
The job requires sitting or standing as needed, walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day, reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
