POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Quality Engineer you’ll be at the forefront of aerospace technologies. In this role you will be tasked with owning and improving the quality processes and reporting for a growing advanced manufacturing site. As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence you will perform internal audits to ensure compliance with AS9100. This role will also be responsible for daily quality inspections and document reviews. It’s expected that you’ll work with the engineering and sales teams to assess quality requirements of incoming opportunities and provide timely feedback on feasibility of inspection/inspection limits. At ADDMAN Engineering you’ll be part of a rapidly growing world class engineering team, commonly interfacing internally with program managers, materials and process engineers, technicians, machinists, and company leadership. This role reports to the Plant Manager.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage and provide assistance for all quality-related functions including in process, receiving, final and calibration inspection and selection of appropriate tools.
- Maintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas.
- Develop inspection and quality reporting processes, lead integration of quality processes into ERP and or MES systems
- Works with sales and engineer to assess incoming opportunities quality requirements, support quoting of internal and external inspection costs and qualification requirements
- Assess and audit existing or potential suppliers
- All daily inspection needs via manual inspection as well as CMM programming and operation.
- Inspect printed hardware for conformance to supplier or internal requirements at multiple stages in the manufacturing process i.e. post-print, post heat treat, and final inspection
- Actively participates in team problem solving, process improvement, and decisions
- Lead internal efforts to enhance our quoting, design, or manufacturing workflows
- Over time you may be expected to mentor, teach, and be an engineering technical resource for the organization

SKILL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical background. Preferred degrees are in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge of advanced measuring and inspection techniques
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- 5-7 years of working in a manufacturing environment in quality / technical role
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations
- Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time
- Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
- Sit or stand as needed.
- Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
- Proper lifting techniques required.
- Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
- Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
