Senior Data Analyst
Location: 100% Remote (Preferred candidates local to Pittsburgh)
Candidates residing within 50 miles of Pittsburgh will be required to work onsite 2-3 days a week.
Work Hours: Must be able to work EST hours
Job Overview:The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering technical and functional requirements, creating processes and workflows, and conducting in-depth analysis in a healthcare setting. The role requires expertise in HL7/FHIR messaging protocols and experience working with at least one Clinical Data Repository (CDR). The analyst will also perform source-to-target mapping of raw data to enterprise data models for end-user consumption.

Assist with stakeholder mapping and analysis.

Independently conduct multi-layer data analysis by linking data from multiple health information sources.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create project artifacts, documentation, and reports.

Assist quality assurance teams in developing test scenarios.

Develop structured plans for requirement gathering, including approach, stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables.

Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Functional BAs, Clinical Informatics Specialists, and Enterprise Architects to gather and document mapping requirements.

Create deliverables such as source-to-target mappings, process flows, data dictionaries, and related materials for stakeholder approval using leading practice methods and tools.

Apply agile product development methodologies in a cross-functional environment.

Manage requirement scope using established change control processes.

Support the Enterprise Architect in creating technical solution options, briefing notes, and technical recommendations.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

Produce clear and concise documentation for stakeholders.

Conduct research and environmental scans as required.

Attend meetings within EST working hours.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst in the healthcare sector.

Strong knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, APIs (experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus).

Expertise in building source-to-target mappings using HL7/FHIR messaging protocols, gathering technical and functional requirements, and conducting healthcare data analysis.

Experience analyzing processes and understanding interactions between various healthcare systems.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating discovery sessions, workshops, agenda development, requirements elicitation, and collaboration across diverse groups.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.

Ability to collaborate with operations teams and develop documentation to support change management, training, and user resources.

Proven ability to bridge communication between technical and business teams.

Experience working within health sector or province-wide health systems.

Background in large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects.

Portfolio samples demonstrating expertise (integration deliverables, FHIR profiles, implementation guides, etc.).

Proficiency in Source to Target Mapping (STTM).
