Addy's Colors is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing free mental health therapy and other supportive programs to children and their families who have been diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, developmental disabilities, or who have experienced traumatic grief. Duties
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide direct support and counseling to patients, helping them navigate through emotional challenges and develop coping strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Engage in case management activities, including coordinating referrals, advocating for patient needs, and collaborating with community resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of mental health therapy.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Valid licensure or certification in Virginia as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
- 2 years of experience in providing therapy services to individuals with diverse backgrounds and mental health concerns.
- Ability to work in a team-focused environment
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based and brain-body based therapeutic techniques
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of behavioral health resources within the community.

Compensation: $55,000 to $80,000 (full-time salary); $28.00 to $42.00 hourly (part-time)
