Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist in Orlando, Florida. The qualified candidate for this position will have 2-3 years of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs experience in the Food and Beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance (QA):
- Quality Management Systems (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS that complies with food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO 22000, and other relevant certifications.
- Internal Audits & Inspections: Lead and conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines.
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Manage the CAPA system by identifying areas of non-compliance, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Product Quality & Safety Testing: Oversee the testing, inspection, and verification of food products, ensuring they meet all quality specifications, taste, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Evaluate and qualify suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards and manage regular audits and performance reviews.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality control processes, inspections, audits, and product testing results. Prepare detailed quality reports for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Employee Training: Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, quality management systems, and compliance standards to ensure all staff are aware of the latest practices and regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, problems, and opportunities for enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
Regulatory Affairs (RA):
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with local, national, and international food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, EFSA, FSMA, and other relevant authorities.
- Product Labeling Compliance: Oversee the creation and approval of product labels, ensuring they meet regulatory standards for ingredients, allergens, nutrition facts, and claims (e.g., organic, non-GMO).
- Regulatory Submissions: Manage regulatory submissions for new products, including approval of formulations, labeling, and packaging in compliance with relevant food safety laws and guidelines.
- Regulatory Monitoring & Strategy: Stay up to date on the latest regulatory trends and changes in food safety laws and develop strategies for ensuring ongoing compliance across different markets and jurisdictions.
- Regulatory Documentation: Maintain a detailed regulatory dossier for each product, including certifications, approval letters, and required documentation for international markets.
- Label and Packaging Approval: Ensure all food product packaging and labeling are compliant with local and international regulations before distribution and retail placement.
- Liaison with Regulatory Bodies: Act as the main point of contact with regulatory agencies and food safety organizations, managing inspections, audits, and interactions to ensure smooth and successful compliance outcomes.
- Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies to address emerging food safety challenges, including crisis management and product recalls if necessary.
