**Job Description:**
The Maintenance Mechanic is a critical role responsible for the safe execution of all maintenance work assigned daily. This includes repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and adjustment of heavy industrial equipment such as fans, pumps, gear drives, compressors, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding systems automation and component interaction
- Troubleshooting equipment failures
- Knowledge of and ability to use various hand tools, lifting devices, power tools, stationary and mobile cranes, and man lifts
Maintenance Mechanics must be able to perform structural and pipe welding, pipe fitting, blueprint interpretation, and basic math calculations. They also repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred
- One to two years' experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment required
- Knowledge of basic math skills and ability to comprehend technical manuals, instructions, and warning signs
- Knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment
