- 35.00 to $37.00 an hour
- Responsibilities of the Employee Health Nurse :
Provide preventative measures that protect the health and safety of workers; strive to ensure that all health and safety standards and regulations are met to safeguard the health and well-being of employees; and ensure access to preventative health and safety measures.
Administering immunization / inoculations to prevent spread of communicable diseases; monitoring employees to protect patients and employees and prevent accidents and illness
Reporting on medical tests required for new incoming employees
Observing and assessing the work environment for potential dangers and hazards
Providing health related coaching, teaching and counseling for employees within the scope of nursing license, knowledge and practice
Planning, implementing, conducting and evaluating various vaccination programs, including the annual Flu Vaccination Program
Trending employee illnesses / injuries to identify safety and health issues
Performing ergonomic work station assessments upon request and / or upon reporting of a work-related injury
Evaluating employee incident reports and providing appropriate follow up in consultation
Managing workers' compensation records and assisting in meeting the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
Providing monthly and annual reporting to state entities and Compliance as may be required
Monitoring and updating Employee Health policies and procedures
Bachelors degree preferred
Active, unrestricted RN licensure in New York
BLS certification
Infection Control Certification
2 years of RN experience
